Bathymetric datasets between 1970 and 1990
Bathymetric datasets, collected between 1970 and 1990, are mainly acquired with single-beam echosounders. Quality controls and qualification, conducted by the Shom, on these datasets are not exhaustive. Datasets may present significant uncertainties and errors may remain.

Bathymetric datasets are an extraction of surveys belonging to the Shom public database. They go through a quality control before integration. From 1968, datasets are in compliance with the S-44 Standards of the International Hydrographic Organization which were in effect at the time of survey. In the Shom public database, dense datasets are decimated (typically 1m for shallow waters and 100m for deep waters).
