<em>Hydrodynamic HYCOM 3D data updated on: 20-11-2024T00:00Z</em><br />
<br />This product contains the Hydrodynamic forecasts, calculated using the HYCOM 3D model implemented by the Shom at the regional scales (Atlantic Ocean, Mediterrannnean sea).
The « 3D daily mean hydrodynamic » data represent the situation in terms of temperature, salinity, speed and direction of currents, over 50 immersions (including the surface level), averaged over the day. These forecasts do not provide information on phenomena inducing evolution during the day (e.g. tide, diurnal warming, ...).<br />

Variables in the netcdf: zonal and meridional components of the current (m.s-1), salinity of sea water and in-situ Temperature (degC).
The "time" variable in the netcdf file corresponds to the date of validity (expressed in Julian days elapsed since 1 January 1950 at 00:00:00). The global attribute "bulletin_date" gives the date "T0" of the considered run.

Shom HYCOM 3D models daily run on the Météo-France calculator (Toulouse).
The HYCOM3D-MJ data available on data.shom.fr are distributed as follows: one netcdf file per day (analysis or forecast) containing only one time interval corresponding to the daily average of all parameters (average of the hourly time intervals 00 to 23H centered on 12H on the considered day). The data is then reprojected on a vertical grid Z of 50 levels (0, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 22, 24, 26, 28, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 85, 90, 100, 125, 150, 175, 200, 250, 300, 350, 400, 500, 600, 700, 800, 900, 1000, 1250, 1500, 2000, 2500, 3000, 4000, 5000 m).
