For depth up to 50m, the vertical precision of soundings varies from 30cm to 1m and the horizontal precision varies from 1 to 20m. In deep ocean, the vertical precision is mainly around 1 or 2% of the bottom depth. It is sometimes more, it depends on the technology used. The data are referenced to 147 Nouvelle Caledonie - Pouebo (ZH) which is assimilated to LAT. Data are corrected for sound velocity variations. Pour les fonds jusqu à 50m, la précision verticale des sondes varie de 30cm à 1m et la précision planimétrique de 1 à 20m. Au-delà, dans les grands fonds, la précision verticale est majoritairement de l ordre de 1 à 2% de la profondeur du fond. Parfois, elle est plus élevée selon la technologie utilisée. Les données sont référencées au 147 Nouvelle Caledonie - Pouebo (ZH) qui est assimilé à la Plus Basse Mer Astronomique (PBMA). Les données sont corrigées des variations de la célérité du son dans l eau.
