  • The Tidal stream atlas netcdf product – The Channel provides tidal current data for an area stretching from the coast of Flanders east of Dunkirk to Brest. The product consists of a unique gridded file with 2 km spatial resolution covering the Channel. The U and V velocities of the tidal currents depend on the tidal conditions considered at mean neap and spring tidal rates. The data are provided in m/s for the surface layer. The times are given in relation to high tide at the reference port chosen in the area and are provided from 6 hours before to 6 hours after that reference.

  • The Tidal stream atlas netcdf product – Normand-Breton Gulf provides tidal current data for an area stretching from Cherbourg at the east of the area to Tregastel at the west. The product consists of a unique gridded file with 500 m spatial resolution covering the Normand-Breton Gulf, including The Channel Islands.

  • This service allows users to view surface tidal current predictions calculated from the analysis of a high-resolution hydrodynamic simulation projected onto a 500 m grid.

  • Marine toponymy data layer obtained from French ENC and created using the S23 (4th edition, June 2002). Note: The usual Sea of Japan designation does not imply taking a stand in the dispute between Korea, which names this sea "East Sea", and Japan, which names it "Sea of Japan".

  • The Tidal stream atlas netcdf product – Strait of Dover provides tidal current data for an area stretching from the coast of Flanders east of Dunkirk to Saint-Valery-en-Caux. The product consists of four gridded files with different spatial resolutions covering the Strait of Dover area (overall view at 500 m) and the geographical areas of the ports of Dunkirk (250 m), Calais (250 m) and Boulogne-sur-Mer (250 m).

  • The product "Wrecks and obstructions" contains a description of wrecks and obstructions in the French Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) as 2D point objects. Objects of the product "Wrecks and obstructions" are divided into 2 classes: - Wrecks (WRECKS): all or part of a stranded or sunken ship or aircraft; - Obstructions (OBSTRN): object of an artificial nature other than a wreck (for example: container, lost anchor). This product does not concern floating or drifting objects (containers, debris, buoys out of position, ...) which position changes rapidly. <br /> February 17 2026 version

  • The Tidal stream atlas netcdf product – The Bay of Biscay provides tidal current data for an area stretching from Brittany to the northern coast of Spain. The product consists of a unique gridded file with 2 km spatial resolution covering the Bay of Biscay.

  • The "Magnetic Stations" product contains measurements from magnetic reference stations deployed by the French Hydrographic and Oceanographic Service (SHOM) near marine magnetic survey areas. Measurement files are available by station and by year. These magnetic reference measurements correct marine measurements for diurnal and high-frequency variations in the Earth's magnetic field.
