Maritime Spatial Planning
The ‘Maritime Planning’ product contains 2D areas vector objects representing the maritime spatial plan extent (‘MSP_Spatial_Plan’ layer) and the corresponding vocation zones areas (‘MSP_Zoning_Element’ layer), defined in in each maritime spatial planning document.
The ‘MSP_Official_Documentation’ table (non-spatial layer), containing links to the legal acts, is also included in the product.
This product is organised according to the EMODnet data model for MSP, which is recommended at European level for maritime spatial planning data, in order to provide a harmonised overview of MSP at European level on the EMODnet Human Activities portal.

This product is strictly geomatic and does not replace the geographical scope of the MSP strategy as legally defined through the DSF (French MSP plans). It is also not designed to provide all the information and details contained in the plans. The law does not strictly limit the scope of application of the MSP strategy, which must be adapted according to the hydrological, oceanographic, biogeographic, socio-economic and cultural characteristics of the maritime space concerned (from coast to see).
