In deep ocean, the vertical precision is mainly around 1 or 2% of the bottom depth. It is sometimes more, it depends on the technology used. The data are referenced to ZH which is assimilated to LAT. Data are corrected for sound velocity variations. Au-delà, dans les grands fonds, la précision verticale est majoritairement de l ordre de 1 à 2% de la profondeur du fond. Parfois, elle est plus élevée selon la technologie utilisée. Les données sont référencées au ZH qui est assimilé à la Plus Basse Mer Astronomique (PBMA). Les données sont corrigées des variations de la célérité du son dans l eau.
